I am taking a trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago on saturday. Assuming I find my missing memory cards, much pictures will be taken.
I am also using my payment for judging pigeons at the McHenry County Fair to buy a 4x5 Wacom Tablet later this week, so new art should be coming with a bit more regularity than it has been.
I did my first vector today. Of course, I picked an incredibally bad image for my first one - fuzzy, grainy, low quality and touch to distinguish color seperation well. On a fundemental level, I understand it all perfectly - it works like serigraphy, and if I can get back into that mind and use simpler images to train myself with, then I should be able to do the complex images that I want soon enough.
There's something nice and.. hmm not mindless, but different, about vectoring off a photo. I like it as something to empty the mind with.
