Second one is finally done, after many many months of it being set aside. Another stress-doll (sans pins), made for .

Materials used: fabric (I -think- it's muslin), polyester fiberfill, thread, embroidery floss, glass beats, seed beads, metal charms. All stitching was done by hand, pattern of my own design. The vines on the body are a combination of embroidery floss and thread.

This doll has a LOT of hair. It took about 3 days to stitch it all in place (each piece is knotted seperatly). This bad boy has as few as 6 skeins ( I think that's the right word) and as many as 9 skeins on his head. That's a lot of floss. I was originally going to use a little less glass leaves, but then I figured, if you're gonna have some leaves, have some leaves. The bead in the middle of its necklace has a reflective green/yellow/blue sheen on it.

Very cool, I'm usually terrified of dolls, but I adore the color scheme and the face on this one. Great work, I admire anyone who has the patience and skill to make such a thing!

I don't know if it shows skill, but I guess it does show patiance. I'm glad the face is liked; part of me knows its terribly inappropriate for the rest of the decor, but I also know it's relatively important that, if this kind of doll gets a face, that it's a 'closed' one.

It looks much better in person. The hair is very soft, and I have left it loose so that you may braid or tie back to your liking.

Gotta get pins for it and such, it will be sent out at the latest on wednesday and at the earliest tomorrow.

Dolly! This dolly is very cool. I like him muchly! I especially love how his hair is different hues of green; makes it very realistic.
